I could not say enough great things about Danny and Jen or their beautiful, magical home. Though we only spent 48 hours there, we feel totally refreshed and happy from our stay. The house is so lovely-- an outdoor shower, a lovely nook on the roof with incredible views, a hot tub made of natural wood with hardly any chlorine, lovely furniture all through the house made by Danny, Jen's thoughtful touches and support of us during our stay, the delicious meals they prepared, and an incredibly beautiful beach that is not very crowded that is a block away!! And somehow they are super interesting if you feel like talking, and totally cool if you don't. Thanks for everything Danny and Jen, we will be back!

Danny and Jen are superb hosts. They make you feel at home with so many personal touches. The lunches, dinners and desserts they shared with us were high end restaurant quality with no extra charge. The paella was better than what I get at my favorite Spanish restaurant! There was always plenty of ice water flavored with fresh orange slices, lemon and lime. The hot tub was also a special treat. The rooftop deck with canvas canopy had a nice breeze and great sunset views over the bay. Whether you want to surf, bike, boogie board or just hangout on the beach with chairs and umbrellas, they have it all for you to use. I feel like we made new friends and can’t wait to visit again!

We had an outstanding time staying with Daniel and Jennifer-Jo on Fire Island. Their house offers every comfort including beach chairs and umbrellas, a delightful hot tub, a shaded roof deck for lounging and bicycles for exploring. But it's really Daniel and Jennifer-Jo's gracious hospitality that sets this experience apart. Upon our arrival they greeted us at the dock with their 4 adorable little dogs, loaded our bags onto their wagon and escorted us to the house. When we went for a bike ride Jennifer-Jo fitted one of the bikes with a big basket so we could take our little dog along. They served us delicious meals which they prepared with the utmost care and all natural ingredients. Jennifer-Jo even made a special all-natural treat for the dogs! Sharing meals at their table and getting to know Daniel and Jennifer-Jo and the other guests was the highlight of our stay.

Great location, great food, and great people! Danny and Jen are generous, kind, and excellent hosts. We enjoyed their beautiful home with an incredible roof deck, delicious homemade meals (dessert included!), beach equipment, bicycles, canoe, hot tub, etc. It is definitely worth visiting the lighthouse - roughly 20 minutes away by bike. Don't forget the cute, friendly dogs that will become your best friends by the end of the trip! Once again - Danny and Jen are exceptional hosts and we hope to be back next year!

Fire Island is a magical place, but it's very hard to find a house to stay for less than a week. Daniel and Jennifer-Jo not only offer a flexible schedule, but they created a B&B experience that is filled with delicious meals (and capuccinos), great conversations and a gorgeous space. The house is beautiful and very well taken-care of (most of it built by Daniel himself!) and has everything: bikes, beach chairs, a beautiful deck, a hot tub. Their four dogs are super funny and we loved getting to know their personalities and temperaments -- they barked a lot during the good byes, so we hope the feeling was mutual!

Amazing time. I'm not necessarily someone who likes to interact with other people when I'm on vacation, but Daniel and Jennifer-Jo were so welcoming and engaging that I thoroughly enjoyed the communal atmosphere. From the moment we stepped off the ferry we knew we were in for a relaxing weekend. Danny and Jenn are great hosts; very warm and friendly. The room we stayed in was a very comfortable retreat. They have everything you will need for a weekend at the beach with your pup, plus one of the coolest hot tubs ever. Lunches and dinners are restaurant quality, but the real treat is sitting down as a family, getting to know strangers, and telling stories about ourselves.

For people who don't travel to Fire Island very often, it can be a confusing process, taking subways to trains to ferries to walking and locating the house--and trying to figure out the timing of all of that can be very stressful. Jennifer-Jo made all of that so much easier by providing us with the schedule that would work for us, and then she and Daniel--with four cute dogs in tow!--picked us up from the ferry and escorted us to the house. Staying in the house was far more of a B&B experience than any other airbnb we've rented, and Jennifer-Jo and Daniel were far more than typical airbnb hosts; they not only opened their home to us, they opened their lives to us. They are very much in love with their home, their four cute dogs, good food, good company, and Fire Island, and their enthusiasm for all of those things is palpable! Their home is designed for relaxing, with comfortable indoor-outdoor sofas, a hot tub, and canopied beds on the roof. It's a short walk to the beach, and an even shorter walk to bayside sunset views. Probably the best part is the food! They are the perfect team, with Daniel taking the lead on meals, and Jennifer-Jo making desserts. And the meals were soooo good, with a premium being placed on fresh ingredients and homemade items as much as possible. Some of what we ate: raw oysters, shrimp, pesto spaghetti, homemade strawberry and caramel ice creams, grilled corn, clam chowder, homemade mozzarella, and carrot cake! Plus, they were great with our Jack Russell, Milo! We can't wait to come back!

From the moment the Little Jumping Dog House came up in my Airbnb search, I knew this would be the perfect weekend retreat for my husband and me. Jennifer and Daniel keep a beautiful and clean home and define what it means to be hosts. Best of all, they are both amazing chefs and lunch and dinner were exquisite both days. Iced cappuccinos in the morning? Yes, please! Guests can hang as much as they want around the house or go out and do their thing and it's always friendly and comfortable. We rode bikes all around the island, hiked out to Ocean Beach along the water (and hightailed it back to Fair Harbor/Dunewood!) caught the most beautiful sunset, lounged on the sand at the beach and swam in the bay. I'm writing this review from our ferry ride home and I miss being there already. In fact, we almost didn't want to write the review because others will find out about this gem ha ha--just don't take our weekend!)

We had an absolutely WONDERFUL stay with Jennifer and Daniel!! Between their incredibly beautiful home and delicious cooking, we could not have asked for more! Add in four friendly and affectionate pups, a hot tub, and their amazing outdoor shower, it went way beyond our expectations. A short walk from both the bay and the beach, we enjoyed afternoons swimming in the ocean and evenings watching the sunset while lounging on the floating dock. We even got to take the canoe out on a (perhaps overly ambitious) journey to the Fire Island Lighthouse. (While we were too tired from our paddling to hike to the top, if you make the trip, remember to bring shoes with you to fully enjoy the view!) We 100% recommend this stay!

We had an unbelievable weekend with Daniel and Jennifer in Fire Island. We were looking for a fun, sun-filled, relaxing weekend out of the city and this trip fulfilled all of our expectations. They were great hosts and the lunches and dinners were delicious (you'll be lucky if Danny decides to make the Paella!) They have everything available for you to enjoy a beach weekend, chairs, umbrellas, towels, hot tub and much more. You won't be disappointed!!

WONDERFUL! Everything we imagined it to be and more. Relaxing on the rooftop deck. Watching sunsets every evening on the bay. Cool ocean waves with everything we needed for a beach day. We rode bikes every day and relaxed in the hot tub each night. It was living the dream. For us and for Simba boy!! Jennifer and Daniel are outstanding hosts (and gourmet chefs!) We'll be back :)

We had a fantastic time at the Little Jumping Dog House. Daniel picked us up from the ferry with the three poodles and we just strolled over to their beach house. It is such a cool place! We loved the design - it has a breezy, open and welcoming feel. We really enjoyed hanging out on the roof that offers spectacular views over the bay - perfect spot to relax. Jennifer and Daniel are very warm and easy to get along. One night we all watched up on the roof the rise of the full moon. The food was outstanding as well. Daniel cooked a delicious Paella for us. He finished it up in the smoker - never had something like it in NYC. We very much look forward to going back next summer!

They were extremely accommodating with my dietary restrictions. This is a great place to bring a small dog. Both the house and the island are very dog friendly. I think the dogs had just as good a time as we did! Definitely looking forward to staying with them again.

Jennifer and Daniel were extremely welcoming and friendly. They were waiting for us at the ferry with a cart for our luggage upon our arrival. Conversation was easy and the vibe at the house was relaxing. The house is in a great spot, a hidden oasis, steps from the bay. We especially enjoyed the roof deck for a nap / wine session. Plus, the house itself is creatively designed and comfortable. The food: fabulous. Jennifer and Daniel were able to work around my wife's limited palate effortlessly and deliciously. Jennifer picked us up from the ferry and made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. Together we took the short walk to the house were she gave us a small tour. The house itself is beautiful with plenty of places to relax and unwind, especially the roofdeck is worth mentioning, but we were also a big fan of the outdoor shower. The location of the house is perfect, close to the ferry, beach and bay (and supermarket). Jennifer and Daniel are super cool and relaxed people, and we also loved their three little dogs. The lunch and dinner they cooked were superb, and Jennifer even baked my girlfriend a delicious birthday cake. Nothing but praise for the Little Jumping Dog House!

Jennifer and Daniel are fantastic hosts and their home is beautiful and comfortable! They have everything you might need to have a relaxing, luxurious beach vacation (beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, a canoe!, and more). We spent our days bouncing between the beach, the bay, the small nearby towns, and the incredible cedar hot tub. Never before have we felt so welcome in any type of b&b. Jennifer and Daniel were easygoing and fun to hang out with. We ended up joining them to watch fireworks, look for shooting stars, walk the dogs, and hang out for the second annual Floatilla (which they have the BEST float for). We also adored their three poodles and loved that we could bring our dog along for the trip. In regards to hosts, we have been to many b&bs and Jennifer and Daniel by far have been the best we've ever stayed with! We enjoyed getting to know them over some of the best meals we've eaten. They truly are creative chefs, introducing me to a gorgeous and delicious paella! And, Jennifer even made us a cake to celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary! It was a great weekend, we miss it already, and we look forward to being able to return!

Daniel and Jennifer are great hosts. We would have loved more time to chat with them as they are really unique and interesting people. They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. We enjoyed the inventive meals that they served - the best paella I'd ever had. The house is adorable and artsy and close to the beach. We also enjoyed using the bikes to ride around since the weather was bad. The dogs were adorable. Luck of the draw who the other guests are, so try to book with another couple that you know if you can. We'd stay again.

We had an excellent stay at Jennifer and Daniel's place. They have a great laid back attitude while still being very attentive to us. The house itself is beautiful and thoughtfully built (a great deal by Daniel!) in a modern beachy style. They welcomed us at the dock and prepared fantastic meals for our stay, which were thoughtful and delicious. We picked fresh herbs for snacks and iced tea. Come here to have a true Fire Island experience of both the beach and home. The room is comfortable and a good size for our stay and they had everything you need for beach and home (towels, umbrellas, chairs, etc). Also the outdoor shower, roof deck bed and hot tub were awesome. This would be our first choice for a return visit and we highly recommend anyone to book here.

There are great Airbnb hosts, and then there are Jennifer and Daniel, in a league of their own. From the moment we arrived, welcomed at the ferry dock by them and their three dogs, we felt completely at home. We stayed the same weekend as two of their old friends, and we felt the entire time as if we'd been welcomed into a close-knit circle. No small feat, given that we were total strangers. The house is beautiful, the location can't be beat (a short walk to both the ocean and the bay), and the food was plentiful, inventive, and so delicious. And Jennifer even baked a cake in honor of my wife's and my wedding anniversary, complete with an ingenious cake topper. We really could not have asked for a better weekend in every imaginable way. Thank you for everything, Jennifer and Daniel!

...great place, highly recommended, Jen and Danny are great hosts and very relaxed, food is excellent and so is the location. Our couple of days felt like a relaxing week. What to add...? DO follow hosts instructions about which ferry to take and where to get off - we didn't (!) Jen came to find us - with the 3 little dogs - panting not jumping when we met them in the afternoon heat. Jen and Danny took us to the ferry when we left...sensible (in our case) but actually just another a sign of their hospitality. Little jumping dog house is probably one of Fire Island's best kept secret. - but won't be for long. I also learned to hula-hoop, but that really must remain secret, for now.....

Jennifer, Danny are the quintessential hostess with the mostess. We had three days of bliss at a beautiful acquainted home, a block away from the beach. Food was better than restaurant quality. Danny and Jennifer love cooking and entertaining. We had garlic infused shrimp with pasta, fresh mix salad with avocado on our first night, and home made bread by beautiful Jennifer . Second day I volunteerd to cook Sri Lankan Meal and Danny as my sous chef. There is lunch and fabulous coffee. I couldn't resist a cappuccino made by Danny and fresh bread by Jennifer before our departure. Highly recommended comfortable bedding, roof top Lounge, fresh towels, beach chairs , umbrellas must try hot tub . Finally three adorable new friends Meteror, FifiGigi and Beanie (man). Danny and Jennifer are so cool can't wait to book my next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer & Daniel’s house. In our opinion, the house is on the best part of the island at Dunewood. The area is very quiet and everybody is friendly. It’s conveniently located between the bay and the ocean beaches. The ferry deck is at 3 minutes. Near the house you will find an ice cream shop, a restaurant (even if it's not needed) and a general store. If wanted you can easily access the bars and restaurants of Ocean Beach (10 min in taxi boat). The house is a large renovated typical fire island house. Daniel & Jennifer kept the spirit of the location but the house offers all the comfort needed (comfy bed, outside shower -great- , hot tub, large front deck and a beautiful rooftop/sundeck (perfect place to take a nap).The house is clean and tidied up. The hosts and their 3 dogs were lovely. They invited us to fabulous lunches and dinners. They are really good cookers, they manage the BBQ like nobody else! They are always available and helpful. Definitely one of our best aribnb trip with the combination of a beautiful place to stay and a very friendly host. You have to book as soon as possible...they could be busy soon! Thank you again for this week end.
